In this week, I access to the 3D printing. This is my first time to do 3D printing project, I think it is very interesting. Because it is the first time to do, I dare not challenge the difficult work. I observed some objects around me, such as sofas, cups, chairs and so on. I also thought about making some fruit, or maybe a building (that’s what I came up with hh). Finally I decided to build a desk to familiarize myself with the software.

At first I was very confused about this project. I wasn’t sure how to start making a desk. At first, I decide to create a cube as my desktop. And tried to many different heights in order to create the most wonderful desktop. Then, I created a board at the bottom and created four legs. And at last, I made the materials for the table. I went to YouTube and searched for videos and tutorials, and luckily, I found the tutorial video. The video helps me a lot in the process of assingnment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkaMjUR7grA

The difficulty for me is I am hard to find a good position to see the 3D model. Sometimes I rotate all the time and find a good angle to see what I have done. In this assignment, I tried to use the function of “mirror”, but I didn’t find the skills, and I didn’t succeed. If I want the mirror image, I can’t get where I want it to be.

This project is very interesting and I hope to create more complex or beautiful 3D models in the future and print them out.
