This week, we need to put our models which made in Fusion 360 into the Adobe Dimension. At first, I choose the table model which I made in the first 3D class, and export it as .fbx file. Then, open the Adobe Dimension, import the file into the canvas. I want to put this table in three different scenes, and make three different objects by changing the size, position and distance of the XYZ axis

The bench in the art gallery

My first idea was to make a bench for an art gallery. People can sit on the bench to rest, can eat a little size or drink coffee. Once I’ve got the position right, I adjust the position of the xyz axis. It was a fun process, and I had to keep trying to find the right size. Then choose the material of the chair to make it more consistent with the scene.

The coffee table in the living room

For the second and third work, I put this table in the living room. The 2nd, I pull height tall, use as a tea table in front of sofa. Third, I lowered the height as a small cabinet next to the sofa. You can put some books, some storage boxes.

In the process, I met some problems. The first one is that I want to download some materials in Adobe Stock. I have applied for the right of use, but I haven’t received any reply yet. So I couldn’t download any more 3D material from Adobe Stock. Should I wait a little longer for the Adobe team to help me get through this? The second is that I want to put a painting in the living room, but I can’t put the picture into THE DN after Downloading it from the Internet. The image will directly replace my background image. I also try to put the image in PHOTOSHOP or AI first and change it to another format. But it also failed to import into DN successfully.

To my surprise, the finished product is really nice and realistic after rendering. The materials and colors I used fit the whole environment. This is a good experiment, and I think I will use this software a lot in the future.
