VR Tree World

For this two weeks, we were immersed in the world of VR design. Last week, I couldn’t use the First Person Version because I made my own world in the wrong template. So last week, I re-made my Tree World and solved the problem of using the First Person Version. This week, I focused on VR design.

First of all, I added VR Player according to RJ’s tutorial video. I spent a lot of time linking VR Player in Unity to VR devices. Finally, I got Heather’s help and successfully connected the VR device.

Then, I started to try to put the Teleport point and made it work. At first, I had a hard time finding the location of my teleport because my world was so complicated that I lost my bearings when I went into VR mode. Later, I placed the teleport point closer to my VR player so that I could find it more easily.

But the problem I had was that I didn’t know how to walk in my world. I could see around and jump, but I couldn’t walk.

Mye and I studied this assignment together. Because Mye could not use VR equipment due to some problems in her world, we explored this assignment together. I think we’ve had some progress and success in the VR world. It’s very interesting and I probably have more skills to learn.
